Happle’s had its humble beginnings as a single retail outlet committed to providing the finest gourmet cookies, pastries and pies in the Midwest. Since that beginning in 1992, it has transformed into a nationwide purveyor of some of the highest quality desserts available in the country. But one thing has remained the same throughout all of the years…it is still a family business run by its founders, James Happel and his daughter, Tamra Happel-Garman. Together, they see to it that every item that leaves their bakery meets the high standards they set for their company years ago.

Good experience brings reward. Happle’s is the only certified organic pie facility in the U.S.A. capable of large volume. This requires the ability to source product by personally maintaining relationships directly with the farmer. A reputation built by meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of product tracking, cleanliness, safety, and we know where those blueberries came from and from what market shelf they were purchased from.

Our pies are always NON GMO and trans fat free, and we use 100% Spelt crust for those avoiding genetically modified wheat. Organic Spelt Flour is easily digestible and contains 28% less fat grams than whole grains. Over 90% of people with wheat allergies find that they can eat spelt products.
